One of the advantages of AGV robots is that they can help humans in various transportation operations in dangerous or harmful environments, reducing the risk of work. However, the production environment of most manufacturing industries is dynamic and constantly changing, such as logistics vehicles, AGVs in motion, pedestrians, etc. When the AGV robot is working, how does it avoid to ensure that the AGV is safe to drive in the environment? Working principle of AGV safety frame

  • The radar scans and detects the surrounding environment. When an obstacle is detected in the set emergency stop area, the radar outputs the IO signal to the PLC, and the PLC outputs the IO signal to the driver after logic processing, triggering the driver to stop emergency (soft emergency stop). When hitting safety parts such as bars, the plc will control the relay to cut off the power supply of the drive (hard emergency stop). When the soft emergency stop is triggered for a long time, the hard emergency stop is also activated.
  • 3D visual scanning detects the surrounding environment, transmits the detection data to the industrial computer through TCP/IP communication, and the industrial computer undergoes data processing. The logic processing outputs the IO signal to the drive to trigger the emergency stop of the drive.
  • The anti-collision bar and the emergency stop switch are connected to the PLC through hardware IO. The PLC performs logical processing and outputs the IO signal to trigger the emergency stop of the drive.
