On July 17, the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026) opened in Shanghai. As embodied intelligence enters a critical phase of commercial adoption, real-world deployment has become a defining priority for the industry.
At WAIC 2026, Youibot Robotics made the offline public debut of Edge, its industrial-native humanoid robot. Five Edge robots worked collaboratively with a mobile transport robot to perform material picking and delivery within a simulated line-side warehouse. The demonstration was one of the few at the event centered on real-world, multi-robot collaboration rather than the capabilities of a single robot.
The demonstration was designed to test more than the capabilities of individual robots. It showcased the maturity of the underlying orchestration system required to coordinate multiple robotic platforms reliably and efficiently.
Rather than making isolated decisions, each Edge robot followed a unified control framework and collaborated as part of a coordinated fleet. The system dynamically decomposed the overall workflow, assigned tasks to different robots and optimized execution from a system-wide perspective.
This reflects the core of Youibot’s “One Brain, Many Forms” architecture: a unified intelligence platform orchestrates robots with different physical forms toward a shared operational objective. Through cross-embodiment coordination, robots move beyond isolated operation and work together to maximize overall production efficiency.
As a key member of Youibot’s humanoid robot portfolio, Edge is purpose-built for industrial environments. It features extended continuous-operation capability, high-load dual-arm manipulation and modular interfaces for integrating industrial sensors. These capabilities allow it to adapt to a wide range of manufacturing and logistics applications.
Edge is also designed for continuous learning and rapid task deployment. It leaves dedicated interfaces for post-deployment learning and capability injection, enabling the robot to acquire new operational skills from relatively small datasets.
After leaving the factory with foundational motion and manipulation capabilities, Edge can achieve a task success rate of up to 90% with a minimum of only 50 training demonstrations for applicable tasks. During actual operation, the robot continuously collects task data and undergoes iterative training in 24-hour cycles. This enables a practical deployment model in which Edge can be trained on-site and quickly develop into a proficient industrial operator.
The stable and efficient collaboration demonstrated by the Edge robot fleet is powered by FabriX, Youibot’s industrial embodied AI foundation model.
FabriX is designed to address three critical requirements that are often difficult to achieve simultaneously in industrial AI: generalization, efficiency and reliability. Through technologies including deterministic prior distillation and constraint-anchored agents, FabriX combines the adaptability of artificial intelligence with the precision, predictability and operational certainty required by industrial environments.
By integrating FabriX with Edge and other robotic platforms, Youibot aims to enable production systems with self-perception, autonomous decision-making and self-recovery capabilities.
The company has also announced its goal of empowering 10,000 industrial sites within three years, accelerating the adoption of embodied intelligence across real-world manufacturing and industrial operations.
Under its “One Brain, Many Forms” architecture, Youibot has developed an embodied intelligence portfolio that combines specialized and general-purpose robots. Its multi-form robotic systems have already achieved scaled deployment across industrial logistics, inspection, operation and maintenance applications.
In the semiconductor industry, Youibot ranked first in China’s semiconductor mobile manipulation robot market in 2024. Its OW Series mobile manipulation robots and ATS Series autonomous transport robots have been deployed in more than ten wafer fabs in China and overseas. The company has also delivered benchmark projects for substrate manufacturing, photomask production, semiconductor packaging and testing, establishing automation coverage across the semiconductor value chain.
In the energy and chemical sectors, Youibot began with intelligent inspection solutions for power plants and has since expanded across raw-material industries, electric power, chemicals, metallurgy and public utilities. Its ARIS Series industrial inspection robots have achieved scaled deployment among leading power-grid operators, energy groups and other major enterprises.
To date, Youibot has delivered more than 800 embodied intelligence projects across semiconductor manufacturing, energy and chemicals, lithium batteries and other industries. The company serves over 400 leading enterprises worldwide, with a customer repurchase rate exceeding 70%.
Based on 2024 revenue, Youibot ranked first globally in the industrial mobile manipulation robot market.
The multi-robot demonstration at WAIC 2026 reflects an important shift in embodied intelligence—from individual robot performance toward coordinated, system-level productivity.
By combining industrial-native hardware, the FabriX embodied AI foundation model and its “One Brain, Many Forms” architecture, Youibot is building an integrated foundation for deploying intelligent robotic fleets at scale. The company will continue advancing reliable, adaptable and commercially viable embodied AI solutions for complex industrial environments worldwide.
